Biology B - Field Study

  Other Information - Date - November 23, 2025 Time - 9:55am Present Climate Conditions - Sunny for the rest of the day. Temperature - 46f Length of Day - 9 hours, 28 minutes Organisms Felt/Smelled/Heard - I heard leaves rustling, and an airplane. I also heard someone leaf blowing. I felt the cold wind. Other than that there weren't many animals that I noticed. Changes since last visit - I noticed almost all of the leaves had fallen, and the ones that hadn't fallen yet were orangish brown. I also noticed that you can see the some of the marinas through the trees. We only see this once the majority of the leaves have fallen. 

  Other Information - Date - November 2, 2025 Time - 8:35 Present Climate Conditions - Hazy conditions, wind gusts up to 6mph. Temperature - 39f Length of Day - 10 hours, 15 minutes Organisms felt/smelled/heard - I heard lots lots of birds chirping, and I heard squirrels rustling, I also saw a squirrel. Changes since last visit - I noticed more leaves have fallen down, and most of the leaves are yellow now. I also noticed that the leaves change color from the outside, so the outside of some leaves are yellow, while the inside are still green.

Other Information - Date - October 12, 2025 Time - 5:10 Present Climate Conditions - Sunny for the rest of the day, wind gusts up to 15mph. Temperature - 66f Length of Day - 11 hours, 11 minutes Organisms felt/smelled/heard - I heard insects, and some birds. I also saw a turkey, and I saw a squirrel climbing a tree. Changes since last visit - I noticed that the swamp seemed a little bit wetter than it has been this summer. I also noticed that some of the leaves were starting to turn a little yellow, and some are already red. Stewardship - Recently, and over the summer I have seen a lot of deer out at very odd times (In the middle of the day). I think they are looking for food for the families, partly because of the drought, and partly because they seem overpopulated this year. Other animals have also been acting weird. Squirrels seem more territorial, and we even saw some coyotes which we almost never see. This shows stewardship because the animals are trying to take care of themselves...

  Other Information -                                                                                                                                        Date - September 28, 2025 Time - 3:45pm Present Climate Conditions - Sunny for the rest of the day. Temperature - 74f Length of Day - 11 hours, and 51 Minutes Organisms felt/smelled/heard - I heard a woodpecker somewhere, and I heard insects and other birds. I also saw a chipmunk and some squirrels.  Changes since last visit - I noticed overall this summer the swamp has been really dry, but this time it was wetter than last time. I also noticed that some of the leaves are starting to turn ...
